      We do have a limit to the number of students in each class, and the number of classes at each age level.\u00a0 At times, there may not be space available at a certain campus or in a certain age level.\u00a0 Please contact the Admissions Office, to find out what space is available currently: admissions@shenzhen.qsi.org.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. How much is your tuition?\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        For details of the current school year\u2019s tuition, as well as costs for transportation and the lunch program, please contact the Admissions Office: admissions@shenzhen.qsi.org.<\/strong><\/p>\n

        1. Does my child\u2019s nationality make him or her eligible for your school?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Students who hold a foreign passport with a valid Chinese entry visa in it are eligible.\u00a0 Students who are hold a travel permit (permission to stay) from Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan are eligible.\u00a0 Students holding only a PRC passport or ID card are not eligible.\u00a0 Please note that we do not accept Hong Kong or Macau ID cards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          1. Can I assume that my child will be accepted if he or she meets the nationality requirements?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Admission is offered only after the entire admissions process is completed.\u00a0 Nationality is only one part of the admissions process.\u00a0 Only the Director of Instruction of the campus to which you are applying will determine if admission will be offered to your child.<\/strong><\/p>\n

            1. What documents will we be asked to show for admission to your school?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Please see the nationality requirements above.\u00a0 Also, school records (for 2 years) and immunization records are also required, along with two passport photos of each parent and the child.<\/strong><\/p>\n

              1. Do I need to translate my documents if they are not in English?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Yes, the school records must be officially translated.<\/strong><\/p>\n

                1. When can my child apply to your school?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  We accept applications and offer admission at any time in the school year, based on space available.\u00a0 Children who are 2 years old or older before October 31st<\/sup> are eligible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

                  1. How long will it take to complete the admissions process so that my child can begin school?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    We make every attempt to make the admissions process as quick as possible.\u00a0 There are \u201cbusy seasons\u201d that can make the admissions process take several days, or at other times the admissions process can proceed in just a few days.\u00a0 You can make the process go faster by having your documents ready, and being available for the soonest appointments offered.<\/strong><\/p>\n

                    1. What must I pay to apply, and when do I pay?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      A non-refundable 2,100 rmb application fee, per child, is due at the time of the Admissions appointment.\u00a0 This fee is non-refundable and must be paid in cash.\u00a0 Tuition is invoiced after your child begins school. \u00a0A a non-refundable deposit of 25,200 rmb is due within 10 working days of an acceptance offer to secure the space.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

                      \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a010. After we complete the admissions process, what answer will we get and when?<\/span><\/p>\n

                      Every applicant receives an answer within one or two days (provided all of the documents were submitted) after the interview with the Director of Instruction, by email.\u00a0 The answer will be \u201caccepted\u201d \u201cdenied\u201d or \u201cwaiting list.\u201d\u00a0 Any student who is denied will receive two reasons for the denial.<\/strong><\/p>\n

                      \u00a0 \u00a011. If my child was denied admission, can we apply again?<\/span><\/p>\n

                      Families are welcome to reapply after six months, and no additional registration fee is required. \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

                      \u00a0 \u00a012. Must my child speak English to attend your school?<\/span><\/p>\n

                      Younger children do not need to be English speakers when beginning at our school (they will be speaking English very quickly after joining us thanks to our Intensive English program!).\u00a0 Students applying to the secondary school must show a certain level of English proficiency.\u00a0 Students who are joining us at age 12 or 13 will need to be ready to reach the secondary English proficiency level before starting secondary (high) school.<\/strong><\/p>\n

                      \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a013. Must my child be toilet-trained to attend your school?<\/span><\/p>\n

                      The preschool requires that all children are no longer wearing diapers and can use the toilet. \u00a0Support is given so that children can become independent in the bathroom. Details on our toilet independence policy will be available in the interview – please be sure to understand what support we give to our youngest learners when you have the interview!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

                      14. I have more than one child.\u00a0 Will they all be accepted together?<\/span><\/p>\n

                      Each child is considered to be a separate applicant to the school. There are no “sibling” discounts.<\/strong><\/p>\n
