International Baccalaureate Programme
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is a globally recognized college-preparatory program designed to cultivate well-rounded students who are poised to become leaders in our interconnected world. Students can opt for the full IB Diploma Programme, which includes six subjects along with core components such as the Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS). Alternatively, IB Certificates are available for those who prefer to focus on select courses without the full diploma requirements. This flexibility ensures that all students can benefit from the rich educational framework of the IB while pursuing their individual academic goals. At QSI International School of Shenzhen, we offer the internationally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, which features a diverse range of challenging subjects including: IB English A Language and Literature, IB English A Literature, IB Korean A Language and Literature, IB Chinese A Literature, IB Chinese B, IB Chinese Ab Initio, IB Spanish B, IB Spanish Ab Initio, IB Psychology, IB History, IB Business Management, IB Economics, IB Computer Science, IB Environmental Systems and Societies, IB Biology, IB Chemistry, IB Physics, IB Math Applications and Interpretations, IB Math Analysis and Approaches, IB Visual Art, IB Music, and IB Film.
Any student who has completed the following courses from Secondary I and Secondary II is eligible to pursue an IB diploma during Secondary III and Secondary IV:

- Writing I (10 units)
- Literature II (10 units)
- Writing II (10 units)
- Technology (10 units)
- Algebra (10 units)
- Geometry (10 units)
- Physical Science (10 units)
- Biology (10 units)
- World Geography (10 units)
- Modern World History or AP World History (10 units)
- Wellness (10 units)*
- P.E. Sports (10 units)*
- Fine Arts- Art, Music, Drama (10 units)*
- Languages other than English (20 units)**
*If not previously mastered, these units must be completed concurrent with IB coursework in order for students to graduate.
** This can be completed during Secondary III and IV school year with Language B.
